Dr Kamamia wa Murichu is a 49 year old Kenyan pharmacist. He holds a B. Pharm degree from the university of Nairobi and is an alumni of the prestigious Alliance High School. He is the secretary general of the east African health platform (E.A.H.P) an umbrella body of all health actors in the region. He has trained in intellectual property matters and is a resource person in the utilization of TRIPS flexibilities in the region.
He is a major contributor to issues concerning access to medicines in the country, region and globally.
In 2016, he won the TITANS CEO global award for bringing effective leadership and change in the health systems in the EAC region.
In his private capacity, he runs the Blueguard Retail Pharmacy chain.
He is married with 4 children.
